Presented by Brian Lester

Come closer… much closer.

This October, just in time for Halloween, IBM Ring 60 invites you to step beyond traditional magic and enter the mysterious, unsettling, and wonderfully strange world of Bizarre Magic.

What transforms a simple magic trick into an experience your audience will remember long after the performance is over? Brian Lester will explore how storytelling, atmosphere, mystery, and the macabre can turn an effect into something far more powerful.

Whether you’re already a practitioner of the bizarre or have always wondered exactly what Bizarre Magic is, this presentation offers an introduction to the stories, secrets, techniques, and strange beauty behind this fascinating branch of the magical arts.

Enter the World of Bizarre Magic

Discover Bizarre Magic tricks, illusions, and effects featuring eerie, surreal, mysterious, and sometimes shocking themes. Learn how performers use storytelling and atmosphere to create suspense, build anticipation, and blur the line between theatrical magic and the seemingly supernatural.

We’ll also explore some of the magicians, creators, and memorable moments that helped establish Bizarre Magic as its own distinctive style of performance.

Magic History: The History of Bizarre Magic

Presented by Burt Rosenbluth

The journey into the shadows continues as Burt Rosenbluth presents a special Magic History program devoted to Bizarre Magic. Explore the origins and evolution of the genre and discover some of the legendary performers and creators who helped shape this eerie and enchanting side of our art.

Open Mic

We’ll finish the evening with our Open Mic, giving Ring 60 magicians an opportunity to perform, experiment with new material, or share something they’ve recently been working on.

And considering the season and this month’s theme… perhaps this is the perfect night to bring something a little strange, spooky, or unexplained.

The lights are dimming. The stories are beginning. Are you ready to discover the darker side of magic?

Guests are welcome. Join IBM Ring 60 for a Halloween-season evening of mystery, history, storytelling, and Bizarre Magic!
